Ground transfer options at Seoul Gimpo International Airport (GMP) are plentiful and passengers will have no difficulties in getting to their onward destination. Buses and shuttle buses (referred to as 'limousines') provide the most comprehensive services, with a large number of operators running to the city and Incheon International Airport.
Taxis in various shapes and sizes are available for those wanting door to door transport, while the city's underground rail system is also connected to the airport and is speedy, convenient and economical.
Travel by Buses
A variety of bus services are available, connecting the airport with the city and beyond. Passengers should be aware that private/airport bus services are referred to as 'limousines', when they are in fact regular buses. Samhwan limousine services provide connections with Galsan Station and Incheon, while KAL limousines run to Lotte World and Incheon. Public bus services also connect with the city.
Travel by Shuttle Buses
A variety of airport and private shuttles are available; Samhwan limousine and KAL limousine services both provide connections with the city and Incheon Airport, as does the Airport limousine service.
Travel by Hotel Shuttles
The city's big name hotels invariably offer vehicles to transport guests between the airport and their establishments. To be assured of a hotel shuttle on your arrival, check with your travel agent, contact the hotel directly or enquire at the time of booking.
Travel by Taxi Cabs
Taxis are available from each terminal and are split into a number of categories. Regular taxis can be found at Platform 1 and deluxe taxis at Platform 2 on the ground floor in front of the domestic line office building. Jumbo and short distance taxis are also available.
Travel by Trains
The Subway, Seoul's underground rail system, serves the airport and provides cheap and convenient transportation to the city. Seoul Subway Line 5 is connected to the airport via an underground passageway.
Travel by Limousines
There are no traditional limousine companies operating from the airport. Passengers should not confuse the airport limousine bus services with regular private chauffeur driven limousine vehicles.
